Trilhos da Tradição Shop – Porto

About the project

Full renovation of the space that became the Trilhos da Tradição shop, in the heart of Porto's historic centre — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The project balanced architectural heritage with the demands of modern retail: structural rehabilitation with floor reinforcement and consolidation of existing stone walls, preservation and restoration of original elements (arcades, granite stonework and wooden floors), new electrical infrastructure and technical lighting, creation of distinct display areas for handicrafts, use of natural and traditional materials (wood, wrought iron and ceramics), warm-toned decorative painting, and bespoke furniture.
